Abstract

DEED magazine is inspired by Roland Barthes' concept of 'paideia'. This emphasizes learning as a continuous and evolving process. It is an approach that values flexibility, adaptability, and creativity - qualities essential in the design field. The first issue of DEED results from an international symposium held in May 2024 at the Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts de Tunis (ISBAT), which is celebrating its centenary. This issue explores various topics related to design education, offering historical, pedagogical, and technological perspectives. The editorial team thanks the authors and the editorial board for their contributions and invites readers to discover the articles available free of charge on the journal's website.
