Abstract
This article examines the influence of cultural and creative industries (CCIs) on the creativity of vocational high school students in applied arts. Based on a case study involving 54 second-year students, we analyze how CCIs shape their graphic and artistic productions. The evaluation of the students’ work is structured around two dimensions: originality and elaboration, using Torrance’s creativity framework (1966). The results show that students who incorporate explicit references to CCIs achieve higher originality and elaboration scores compared to those relying on more generic references. Productions inspired by video games, cinema, or streaming platforms demonstrate stronger visual composition and narrative structuring. However, these references can also lead to predictable patterns, potentially limiting innovation.
